RSI

RSI* is a disorder for which there is, as of yet, no good cure. Research shows that up to 65% of the people suffering RSI symptoms can be effectively treated by restoring breathing to normal. Their symptoms were caused by improper breathing, relying on the muscles between the shoulder blades. This, when combined with the repetitive arm movements necessitated by certain kinds of work, is the source of the RSI. It creates strain. If healthy breathing is restored, the muscles are generally able to handle a ‘normal’ workload.

It’s our experience that in most cases where people are suffering from stress in addition to RSI, the RSI symptoms can be alleviated.

* In the Netherlands, ‘RSI’ as a collective term for particular symptoms has been replaced by the English acronym ‘CANS’, which stands for ‘Complaints of Arm, Neck and/or Shoulder’ [sic].
